Rose Clay & Tiger Grass
Centella asiatica, called Gotu Kola or tiger grass, has a long tradition in India and China.
According to TCM, centella asiatica is bitter, sweet and cooling. It stimulates the metabolism, is a diuretic, antiseptic, antimicrobial and relieves connective tissue of waste products and water retention. Which is why it prevents and alleviates cellulitis. It is also valued for healing wounds in the treatment of skin diseases and injuries.
The plant has the nickname “tiger grass” because hunters use it to track wild cats who have left their tracks stuck to it. Injured tigers have a habit of rolling in these plants to care for their wounds.
